How to get Vendr’s expert advice

You can use Vendr’s SaaS Advisory chat to get a price check, a competitive bid or a full contract analysis. Here is where you can find SaaS Advisory in the platform:

Submit a Contract Analysis

Vendr’s Contract Analysis offers a comprehensive analysis of your contract or proposal, along with tailored negotiation guidance. Curated by category specialists, a contract analysis includes supplier and category insights, strategic guidance, competitor intelligence, negotiation levers, anchor target, and ghostwritten emails. A Contract Analysis can be requested for a renewal or new purchase.

Who has access to Contract Analysis?

  • Paying customers have access to Vendr’s Contract Analysis, and free customers have access to one new purchase Contract Analysis and one renewal Contract Analysis.

  • How do I request a Contract Analysis on the Vendr platform?

    • A Contract Analysis can be requested in Vendr by clicking “Contract Analysis” from the left hand nav, after logging in.

What kind of deliverable can I expect?

  • A custom PDF deliverable built by SC’s for paid customers and free users providing an analysis of the contract and your specific scenario. This includes supplier and category insights, strategic guidance, competitor intelligence, actionable negotiation levers, acceptable range and target price, and ghostwritten emails.

Request Supplier-Facing Negotiation support

Supplier Facing Support is a bespoke service where a Vendr SaaS Consultant (SC) will engage directly with a Supplier to negotiate a SaaS new purchase or a renewal on your behalf. SaaS consultants will help negotiate both pricing and terms, typically with multiple cycles.

Requirements in order to leverage our Supplier Facing Support are:

  • The deal must be a SaaS contract with at least a $5k contract value

  • We require a minimum of 15 business days before the negotiation deadline. The more runway you give our team, the better the outcome. 90-120 days is ideal

Note: You must kick off a purchase request to begin supplier-facing negotiations.

Throughout the process you will meet with the assigned SaaS Consultant to align on an ideal outcome and negotiation strategy. From there, the SC will step in and handle all of the negotiations while you sit back and relax while we update you along the way. SCs can also help facilitate your approvals within Vendr workflows. To help facilitate approvals on your behalf, we will need introduction to your internal approving teams, and cooperation from them. If you need to contact the Supplier directly, please keep the SC copied on all communication with the Supplier to ensure a smooth negotiation.

Note: Supplier-facing negotiations are only available to customers with the Premium Negotiations add-on. If you do not have this add-on but you have a large upcoming renewal where you would prefer Vendr step in, you can purchase individual negotiations or packs of supplier-facing negotiations.
